Pirelli calendar 2012 + Mario Sorrenti for Vogue Paris

Hombres, tenéis un motivo (o doce) para seguir vivos un día más: la trigésimo novena edición del calendario Pirelli, en ésta ocasión de la mano del fotógrafo Mario Sorrenti.

La isla de Córcega pone escenario a un calendario que destaca, además de por las chicas, por la naturaleza y sencillez de las imágenes. En el video del making off, el italiano nos muestra su intención, que ha sido reflejar la belleza de la mujer en una paisaje natural, donde las rocas y el verde contrastan con playas paradisíacas.

Las protagonistas del calendario son nueve famosas modelos y tres actrices que no han dudado en desnudarse para el fotógrafo y para el resto del mundo vaya. Kate Moss (ex del fotógrafo), Isabeli Fontana, Natasha Poly, Milla Jovovich, Malgosia, Edita Vilkeviciute, Margareth Madè, Lara Stone, Saskia de Brauw, Rinko Kikuchi, Joan Small y Guinevere Van Seenus.

Además de éste trabajo, Mario Sorrenti es un fotógrafo consagrado muy conocido por sus publicaciones en Harper's Bazaar y Vogue. Como lectora compulsiva de Vogue Paris (una joya de revista, especialmente por las maravillosas colaboraciones y su fotografía), os recomiendo que investiguéis su obra, merece la pena, y es en ésta revista, por ejemplo, donde suele publicar más fotografías. Como divagación personal, no lo sé a ciencia cierta, creo que debe ser muy amigo de Emmanuelle Alt, directora de la edición francesa, pues suelen trabajar juntos para los editoriales, aunque su trayectoria en la revista viene de años atrás. Como véis, algunas de sus musas (Lara Stone, Natasha Poly o Isabeli Fontana) repiten con él para el calendario. Todas se reafirman en la opinión de que el fotógrafo es capaz de crear un vínculo de confianza difícil de estropear y que es por esa comodida por lo que gusta trabajar con él.

As a compulsive reader of Vogue Paris (fantstic magazine, especially for the wonderful contributions and photography), I recommend you to delve into his work, and it's in this magazine, for example, which he publish more pictures. I do not know for sure, but I think he should be a close friend of Emmanuelle Alt, director of the French edition, they often work together for publishers, but his career in the magazine comes from years ago.
